Otherwise, you are probably aware that Service Pack 2 contains the Direct X 10 Preview, which you are wanting, but of course not the other features specific to the Acceleration Pack. So if you remove Acceleration from your install, then download and install SP1, launch FSX and take a flight. Shut down and exit FSX, then do the same with SP2. You would know that the only important addition to your fsx.cfg is to add: HIGHMEMFIX=1 under [GRAPHICS]: which the ACES team forgot to put in.
