I'm fairly new to typewriters so I bought a cheap Smith Corona Corsair Deluxe to try out. There's no ribbon (or spools for that matter).

Microsoft windows server 2008 r2 32 bit iso download. I recently picked up a Smith Corona Corsair (the portable one) in grey for £20. I gave it a good clean and it works fine, but the letters are faded and the ribbon needs replacing.

The ribbon is a black/red combo which comes spooled on spools with diameter 42mm. This is apparently smaller than normal and I am finding it impossible to find any replacements in the UK.

I have heard I can buy a generic spooled ribbon, and 'respool' its' ribbon to my Corsair spools.

  • Is there anywhere I can buy replacement spooled ribbons that will fit my Corsair?

  • If not, what ribbon should I buy to respool and how hard it respooling?

Appreciate any help!
