When I order a new item I do not expect to be given an item that had been used an returned. I opened the box and could smell it had been used , not very happy will not buy Argos ever again

Actually this is my problem as well and I think this machine designed just for hard food like carrots or something else not for lose or soft things . But I wasn’t happy with my apple juice too.

Pretty good, but bear some things in mind..
'The juicer works very well. I have juiced a variety of different things for making ciders/perrys and wines.
Apples work well, but don't juice them whole. Better to cut them into quarters or sixths first (this is also a good final check that windfalls aren't bad in the middle). Lots of juice and fairly dry pulp.
Softer things also work well, like plums (stones removed, obviously!) but the pulp was soggier than I had hoped. Still lots of juice though.
If you are juicing large quantities (10's of kilograms), beware that the instructions limit continuous use to 1 minute at a time, with 2 minutes of rest in-between! This can be very frustrating! I ended up setting a kitchen timer to 3 minutes, stopping at 2 minutes, and then chopping/preparing the next batch of fruit while waiting for the remainder to time-down. This delay therefore isn't so bad, as you probably also need to empty the pulp container and do something with the juice. I manage to juice about 2 kilograms of fruit per 1-minute batch.
On that note, the juicer works extremely well for the first 30 seconds, but then the lid starts getting clogged-up with pulp, so by the time 1 minute is up, the first thing you do is lift off the lid and scrape the pulp away ready for the next batch.
One weird thing about this juicer is that it has two speeds - slow & fast. I have absolutely no idea why you would bother with the slow mode..
So here is the problem with the juicer - it's not great for large batches of juicing, but I wouldn't recommend it for small batches either because it isn't really designed for easy cleaning - there are little nooks and crannies all over the place where pulp gets stuck, and the only way to get it out is to direct a jet of water into it. The 'sieve' bit that does the work also needs to be tediously/meticulously scrubbed - nothing else will do the trick.
So why did I award it 4 stars despite the apparent 'problems'? Well, it was incredibly good value compared to all the other models, and I wanted it for occasional large batches of juicing, so am quite happy to put up with the cleaning and waiting.'

Fantastic buy
'I was really sceptical about this product, i have wanted to purchase a juicer for quite a while but heard so many bad reviews about them. I decided to go for this one as the reviews were fairly good and it was also half price, i figured if it wasn't all good i hadn't wasted too much money. This has honestly got to be one of my best ever purchases. It juices perfectly, is really easy to use and i haven't found it at all difficult to clean My advice is rinse it out straight away as that way it minimalises effort. I have used it every day twice a day since buying it. If this has since gone off sale i would urge you to buy it anyway... as it is definitely worth paying full price for. Hope that helps'

'Great first time juicer. It is a bit loud but it sticks to the work surface very well, quite easy to clean as all parts can be rinsed under a tap but actual blade is easier to clean with a small nail brush. First juicer I have ever bought but am very impressed with it.'

'Easy to use and quite easy to clean, creates a lot of froth however. A family member has it also and their one tends to let some skin into the juice from grapes etc. but mine doesn't. Nevertheless I would recommend this and I would buy it again!'

'I had been looking for a juicer for a while - and this product ticked all the boxes for one that I would have expected to have paid a lot more moreny for. It does exactly what it says in the write up and whilst I've not owned a juicer before I have been very pleased with the amount of juice extracted. It was in the sale and was a good bargain - not sure I'd pay the full price as I'd be tempted to spend a little more and get a more well known brand.'
